Lately

I love the fall! The time changed today, so we got to sleep in an hour. :) The leaves are falling, and almost gone. Fall photo sessions are coming to an end (thank goodness!) Thanksgiving break is upon us. We will go to Vancouver this year and spend it with Nate's brother Matt and his family. We have a 2 month break from sports. Yay!!! It is just a great time of year. I haven't taken many pictures of the family lately. Probably because I am burned out from taking fall family photos for everyone else! I told Nate last night that I feel a twinge in my wrist like carpal tunnel syndrome is coming on. 

So, this is what I managed to get pictures of recently.

 Amber and Whitney trick-or-treating in the neighborhood together. Both princesses again this year. Nate and I took the little girls and Paul took the big kids. Although, Amber could have kept up with the big kids probably. She ran half the night! Ashlyn and Dallin bumped in to school friends, who happen to be siblings also, and joined them trick-or-treating.

I had a backdrop up for a photoshoot so I did some test shots on this cutie.

I have been busy with photography this fall and I am constantly looking for new spots to take pictures at. I took Amber and Whitney as we explored Jacksonville. Stopped at a couple parks along the way.

Ashlyn Soccer

Ashlyn is on a great team for Kinder soccer. She goes to school with all of them, and they have a great time. I hope they get to stay together for a while.

Backsplash

We didn't have much going on this week, in fact I found myself feeling kind of bored. I needed a project. I have been wanting a backsplash for a while, so finally did it. All by myself. :) Pretty happy with myself. I love how it turned out.

I shouldn't have a problem with boredom for a while. I am taking 2 online classes this term to prepare to apply to the Physical Therapist Assistant program at RCC in the spring. I am taking Anatomy and Physiology and First Aid/CPR and both start this week. 

Timbers Game

For Tanner and Joel's birthdays they wanted to go see a professional soccer game, so Nate and Paul took the boys and went for the weekend. 

It rained a bit, but luckily it was covered where they were sitting.

 Nate is in love with this pizza place called Mod Pizza. Kind of like a Subway, but pizza, where you chose your sauce and toppings and they cook it for you. 

Girls weekend

Nate went to Portland with the boys this weekend with my brother to see a Timber's soccer game. Me and the girls went to Yogurt Hut and Bear Creek park. 

 Ashlyn is a little monkey. She was all over that play structure trying not to touch the ground. We need to get her back into gymnastics and on that balance beam, she is a natural.

Amber really wanted up on the bars but once she got up she got nervous about dropping the 3 inches to the ground. Silly girl. By the end of our stay at Bear Creek they both had blisters on their hands.

A lot of Amber

With school back in I get the hang out with Amber all day. Just her and me. It is strange, but fun. She is a silly little girl. 

She was getting tickled by the grass.

One morning this little birdie ran into our window and we thought it was going to die. It laid on it's back for about 20 minutes, then it got on its feet for about 45 minutes, and eventually it flew off. We were so happy it didn't die right there before our eyes.

 We went to the library for Toddlerobics last week and played on the boat in the children section.

We go to soccer practice 4 nights a week right now, so I bring bikes for the girls to ride on.

This other pictures was Amber on her first day of preschool. She loves preschool. She does it with my good friend Jenna just around the corner from us.

My dad built this lovely storage bench for me over the last couple weeks. I am so grateful to have such handy family. It matches the book cases my brother made last year.

Ashlyn learned how to ride a bike a couple weeks ago. She prefers her brothers bigger bike to her own little Dora one. 

Last week

Ashlyn was so bummed when she didn't get to hop on the bus this week when school started for the boys. Kindergarten did a "soft start" so she had to go do an evaluation and then get assigned a class. so she went in twice to do that. She is going to be in my friend, Cheryl's class. We are really excited. She asked me to the be the room mom. So I will help plan parties this year. She is SUPER excited. I am so glad she is so ready. I remember being nervous to go to school.

This was a kind of funny note Dallin left on the dishwasher after he unloaded Tanner's and Ashlyn's sections of the dishwasher for them.

 Last Sunday we had smores for dessert at Paul's house.
