Minute to Win it

We invited cousins and friends to play minute to win it games at the church, and had lots of fun. Spent hours there!
Cup Stacking

Knock over water bottles with a ball in panty hose.
Bounce ping pong balls into the cups.

Keep the balloon (or 3) up for the full minute.
Put the puzzle together in a minute.
Stack 10 nuts with a chopstick.

Get the cookie from your forehead to your mouth.

Some Christmas activities

Here was our card this year that I emailed out. I think I will do that from now on. Saved us about $50, and reached more people.
Jared Hokanson invited me to the new Star Wars movie, The Last Jedi, so I took Dallin and his buddy Cade as my dates. It was awesome!
We did the Jingle Jog with cousins. We walked from the Good Bean Cafe to Cherry Lane and Greystone Lane and back and got hot chocolate. It has become a tradition. We've done it for about 4 years now.
When we prepped for the Minute to Win it games the boys played with these cups for about a week strait! It was fantastic.

We had to decorated cookies. We actually did this twice. The second time was with gingerbread, which I have grown to LOVE.

I had fun packaging these gift bags for the young women I work with at church.

Tanner's class party

I helped organize Tanner's Christmas class party along with Cara (Nate's boss's wife). We did minute to win it games.

Only one kid got the cookie in their mouth.

This week

I have been telling Dallin for weeks he needed his hair cut. Nate was busy prepping for his manual therapy exam, so he wasn't able. Nate is gone this weekend so I put it on my To Do list.
After

I learned that Rogue Art Gallery does Free Family Art day once a month, so we will start doing that. We went to our first yesterday. It was so fun! It made me realize how much I enjoy looking at art and doing it. It made me want to do more art. I am glad my kids love it too. All but Amber, she wasn't really into it.

Nate is in Portland, and I really wanted to go for a walk, so I had to find a scavenger hunt to get the kids excited about going out. We found a Christmas Light scavenger hunt on Pinterest and printed it up and hit the neighborhood. It was really fun!
Tanner wasn't there because he spent the night at Joel's house.
I always miss Nate when he is gone, but I get so much reading done. :) I get in my nice preheated bed (I LOVE my bed warmer) after the kids are in bed and I pull out a book. I finished one called the "Gifts of Imperfection" that was so inspiring about letting go of who the world tells us we need to be and embracing who we are. Now I am reading "Quiet Power", which I am also loving about being an introvert, which I am. I always felt like it was a weakness of mine to be quiet and shy, but it's not! I like self help and psychology books. I have read so much about nutrition and health in recent years and these are a nice change.

Here are some random pictures of things going on around here.
