Spence get together

 Nate has an uncle and a couple of cousins that live in Medford now, and his cousin from Texas was visiting, so we got together. It was so fun catching up. The kids loved their older cousins. The boys have been talking about Will and Eli since we saw them, and can't wait to see them again. They play sports for North Medford so we go and watch them sometimes.

4th of July

We spent the 4th of July at Mom and Dad's house. We love that they moved out to Rogue River! We love summers out there. Floating the river. Zipping down that zip line, picking blackberries, going for walks, hanging out in their huge back yard. Lots of great memories are being made out at Grandma and Grandpa's house. 

I took our water proof camera down the river with me to get pictures. On a later occasion Nate took all 4 kids down by himself. Crazy! He had the 2 girls with him and the boys were on their own tubes. Nate flipped and the girls were dumped out. Of course they had life jackets on so they were ok, but it was quite traumatic for the kids. Tanner had nightmares after it happened. He was pretty upset. 

Family Pictures

My friend Shanna Nielsen did our family pictures this year. We did a swap. I will do hers later this year. It is nice to be able to do that. She did a beautiful job. We took them at the Deason's property out in Griffin Creek. 

Last day of school!

Last day of school! What am I to do?! I've been thinking about summer a lot, and trying to prepare myself for it. 4 kids all day long! We will do the free summer movies, and bowling, a fitness program at the YMCA, a little camping, some swimming, lots of reading (I hope), and some summer homeschool (I hope. I got some workbooks for them). I am mostly excited about the break, I just hope I can keep up.

Here was their first day. They don't look too different. I guess Dallin his a missing front tooth in the last day picture. 

Trees of Mystery-Memorial Weekend

We decided to head to Crescent City or the holiday weekend. Really fun trip! We spent some time at the Trees of Mystery which I wasn't so sure about, but it was really cool!

 Looking at some thing cool, I am sure. As a kid I don't remember a lot of family vacations that weren't at the coast. Was fun to come back to the Redwoods as an adult with  my parents and with my kids.

 The Cathederal trees. Mom asked dad to marry him, jokingly, and he had to think about it. :)

 The high light of the hike was the little sky tram thing.  

 Amber was really nervous, but she got used to it after a minute.
