Love free stuff!

Yup, all this stuff was free. Walgreens had rebates on these shampoos and conditioners. And today they had a spend $20 get $5 off internet coupon. So I used that to cover the Pantene. That rebate didn't make it free; it made it buy one get one free.

Only problem with rebates is they take so darn long to get back. Oh well it is about $35 worth of stuff FREE.

Bowling

We had 2 free games of bowling at the REX on our Starving Student cards, so we went. Tanner used bumpers and a ramp to bowl and did pretty good (how can you not?). He played 9 of my 10 frames and beat Nate's score. We had a lot of fun. Usually I hate bowling with Tanner because he runs in front of people bowling, tries to lift up balls, and runs and slips on the greased lanes. I had a lot more fun when I sacrificed my game for him to play. I enjoyed watching just as much.

Dallin

That was a lucky shot on my part, the ball is actually going through the hoop as I took the picture. Well, it is probably a lucky shot on Tanner's part too. He gets maybe 1 in 10 in. Even with those stats, I still think basketball may be Tanner's sport. He LOVES it. We bought him a little hoop to hang on the door and he shoots hoops several times a day. He almost always asks for a high five.

In Rexburg they do a free lunch in the park for kids ages 1-18, so when they have something that Tanner will eat we get it for him. It was pizza day in these pictures.

Forgotten about pictures

Dallin is starting to smile some. You can kind of see it in this one. Can't wait til he is more interactive. I am curious to see what his personality will be like. He seems very easy going and tolerant. A nice balance between him and Tanner if he is. Then there is goofy Tanner. We got both legs in one pant leg. Oops.

Ward campout

Our ward had a camp out this weekend. We went just for the dutch oven dinner and to hang out with friends from church; we didn't stay overnight. Can you imagine with a toddler and new baby? It was on some property that had a barn, big fields and a creek. I love these pictures in the barn. Tanner kept saying barn all the way home. Wish I got more pictures of the evening. We are going to the zoo today, so we'll post more pics of our weekend later.

Darn Thrush

We tried one medication and it didn't work, so now we are trying this purple staining stuff. Luckily it doesn't stay on his lips long after using it. Looks like bad lipstick, and only on his bottom lip.

By the way, for those who don't know what thrush

is, it is a yeast infection of the mucous membranes of the mouth and tongue. It is caused by a fungus called Candida, which lives in your mouth and is usually kept in check by healthy organisms that also live there. However, when your resistance to infection is low, the fungus can grow, leading to lesions in your mouth and on your tongue. It appears as whitish, velvety lesions in the mouth and on the tongue. It is commonly seen in infants.

Cute baby clothes

I love little baby clothes that look like what big people wear. I know the sleepers and onsies are more comfy but little jeans and tees are so much more fun and cute. Of course a father and son sleeping picture. What do you suppose he is dreaming about?

You probably can't see it on this picture, but Dallin drools big time when he is hungry. I've never seen a baby do that, have you?

By the way, Nate aced his last Chemistry test. Good job Nate! He's going for an A in that class. I think he'll get it.

Random things I forgot to post

The picture doesn't do them justice, but Mickie, my wonderful sister-in-law, gave me glitter toes. It isn't just polish, it is like acrylic toe nail polish. She used all these chemicals and florescent lights. Very cool! I love them. Gosh! I wish you could see how sparkley they really are.
Maybe you can't see it in the picture very well, but my left pinky is bruised. I jammed it when I ran in to Nate the other day.

Here was Nate's office on his birthday. I had some of his co workers put up the decorations I got for him after he left for work the night before.

And here are a few of Tanner at the water park. Took him a while to get used to the water; it scared him at first, but now he loves it and gets all gitty and silly when we go.

A fun filled weekend

I didn't have my camera out as much as I would have liked. We were very busy. We went to Utah to visit family (Matt and Mickie) and friends (Braggs and Wus). Rather than tell all the details I'll just list all the fun stuff we did.

Tanner in 7 peaks wave pool. So, I saved his life while we were there. That was scary. He lost his footing in the water and couldn't get up so I jumped in and got him. It was probably more traumatizing for me than him.

Why can't everything be waterproof?

Tanner threw my cell phone in the bathtub a couple days a go and now it only kind of works. Might have to get a new one. Then, the next day while I was on the phone in the other room Tanner had a cup in the bath with him and he dumped several cups full of water on our bathroom floor. Our scale is digital and not far from the tub and it only works some times now too! So Tanner's first couple years of allowance are going to us to pay for everything he is destroying now. Just kidding. It is hard to be mad when he is so cute.


We celebrated Nate's birthday a little early this year. I made him his favorite, or at least the traditional cake, for his birthday. I've made him a tres leches cake on his birthday since we were dating.

Definitely part of the family

Here is Tanner (in red) when he was a newborn and Dallin. Wish I had one that was more similar, but I think they look a lot a like when they are sleeping. The eyes is where they really differ.

Brotherly love

This is Tanner showing love to Dallin. It is a little much sometimes. I was trying to get him to say Dallin because it is so cute, but he wouldn't. Maybe some other time.

Promotion and lots of doctor visits

Nate got a promotion at work. He went from being a shift manager to the assistant operations manager at his work. That means way better hours, he'll no longer work 2-10p.m. He'll now work from 8a.m.-4p.m. I am so so happy about that. Plus he gets a pay raise and bonuses he didn't get in his previous position.

All of us have been inflicted with one thing or another recently.
Nate-Just about every year his eyes get irritated with his excessive contact use. He wears them probably 15 hours a day strait with no break. So his eyes are saying "No more!" He is in his glasses for a week, and he says they aren't getting better.
Dallin-He was jaundice and had to go in twice to test his levels. Never got so bad that he had to use the bili blanket though. Then his umbilical cord was infected so doc put silver nitrate on it to dry it out faster. It is gone now.
Kelly-Mastitis. No fun. On antibiotics.
Tanner-He has this mysterious lump on his finger that the doctors don't know what to do about. It doesn't bother Tanner so they aren't worried. Looks gross though. Here's a picture.
