Agony of De Feet

Griffin Creek does a couple of runs each school year, and we usually do them. This year it was rainy and hailing when we ran the 5K. It didn't stop us though. Ashlyn and I ran with her friend Eveyln. 

Dallin's party

Dallin is a little obsessed with Harry Potter. He is reading the books for a second time this summer. He wanted to play Quiddich for his party, so we did, and it was so fun! Dallin planned everything he wanted to do. The pictures below are all of his ideas and the way down to a shopping list for me of what to buy for the party. :) 

Miscellaneous pictures

Dallin played his last season of rec soccer with this team. Many will play competitively next year. We will not. We will switch leagues and continue rec. Once they get competitive they have to travel and play on Sundays. Dallin really likes to play goalie. He has gotten so much better over the years.

 I think I get a picture like this every year on Memorial Day. I miss my grandpa Marshall. He was always so kind to me. He always told me how beautiful he thought I was as he'd hold my hand and look into my eyes. Always made me feel special and important. I wish my kids got to know him more before he passed. 

 Tanner got to go on the Rogue Jet Boat excursion for a 6th grade field trip. I didn't get to go but a parent of his friend Rey did and sent me the pic. Looks like they had a great time. Crazy that Tanner will be going to middle school next year!

Ashlyn got her face painted at the Panache open house. That is the dance studio where she is taking a Jazz class. She has been doing ballet and might drop that and do Jazz or Hip Hop instead. She is a beautiful ballerina, but I feel like jazz is more her style.

It was kind of fun having Burton around a couple times a week. Amber loves babies! She was a good helper

It is so nice that the kids are getting old enough to do so many chores! This isn't Tanner's favorite job, but he'll do it.

Park

One of our favorite things to do on Sunday afternoon when there is nice weather is go to the kids' school to play. 

 I feel like I don't get many pictures of Tanner lately, so I was lucky to get these. Such a handsome boy. 

Amber, oh Amber

I have sure enjoyed my time with Amber. She felt sort of like an only child during the school year. She's so fun and carefree! She is goofy and adventurous. 

She got these ear muffs at a yard sale. Found her brushing her teeth and getting ready for bed looking like this. :)

We rode bikes to the school; love her angry bird helmet.

Amber cut her hair! So sad. She comes up to me and says "Mom does it look good?" What do you say to that!?! She was so upset that I had to cut it so short, but she actually liked it after we fixed it and she saw how easy it was to brush! We were lucky that she didn't do worse damage.

Last days of preschool

Amber's preschool class went on a field trip to see some animals. The kids loved petting everything. 

 We went to visit my grandma Marshall, and my aunt Tawnya and cousin, Chawna were there. I love living close to so much family!

 We went for a little hike. I had Whitney a lot during the school year. It was so nice to have a buddy for Amber. These two will be close their whole lives, I think. 

 Amber's class performed a few songs for the parents at preschool graduation. It was so cute. 

Jenna makes these cute binders with pictures of things they did during preschool. Ashlyn has one too, and she still likes to go back and look at it.
