Snow week

 We had recored breaking snow fall a few weeks ago. The kids were out of school a full week! It was right after their Christmas break, so it was a long one. 3 weeks!

This pictures was as it started, and then the one below was at it's worst. 

 We have to find all kinds of indoor activities for the kids. They played games. 

Made snow cones. 

 Had a friend over.

 Went to Kid time. They stayed in the craft room most of the time.

 Had cousins over and made cake in the Easy Bake oven.

Princesses

I love having girls. Amber likes to wear her dress up clothes out in public, if I let her. This picture on the right is her grocery shopping with me. She didn't want her dress to drag on the ground. 

The other picture is her sporting a cute hand-me-down coat she got from a friend.

Ashlyn is super social, and always wants to have friends over. We regularly have friends over. This little cutie with my girls goes to school and church with Ashlyn. They ate a whole thing of blueberries just the three of them during their tea party. 

 These two see a lot of each other these days. I watch Whitney so that Paula can work at the YMCA and Paula watches them sometimes while I do homework. They have tea parties often too. Girls are fun!

 Another hand-me-down dress from a friend. Amber loves it! Has worn it to church every Sunday for a month now.

Christmas Break

 This was the first year that we put lights on the outside of our house. 

 We went to the Festival of Trees again this year. It is always fun to see the fancy trees, and Santa. Notice Amber's flip flops. She tries to wear them all the time. Crazy girl!

We made reindeer candy canes for friends.

 We made gingerbread houses, like we always do around Christmas. I made real gingerbread this year, and it was SO tasty. I will never make a graham cracker house again. 

On Christmas Eve the kids got to say good bye to our elf. It is the only time they get to touch him.

 Santa got caught!

The kids got Bean Boozle jelly beans in their stockings. They are joke beans. If you get a white one it is either coconut or spoiled milk. Green is either booger or pear. Brown is either chocolate pudding or dog food. Gross, right?  Here is a video of Nate trying it.

 I always love how excited kids get on Christmas morning. Everyone was so happy with everything they got.

 Later the rest of the family came to our house for lunch and some games. Jesse and Shaye brought bells and we played Christmas songs with them. 

Puzzles

 This is how I spent my Christmas Break: with a puzzle. Two of them. 1000 pieces each. 

Watch Ya Mouth

My brother and sister-in-law bought this game called "Watch Ya Mouth" where you put in these dental moth pieces and try and say phrases. It was pretty silly. I hadn't laughed that hard in a long time.
