Zoo

The zoo was free this week, so of course we had to go.

Grateful

At the park another mom told me how happy Tanner is, and I felt so grateful. Even though he has "terrible two" moments he's a joy to be around. What more could a mother want for her kids than happiness. It's sad that he'll have to grow up and experience the sadness of our world, but I am so thankful we know what brings lasting happiness. So even when his childhood innocence is gone and hard life comes at him he can still be happy.

Giggles

Dallin's been laughing for us when we tickle him. It is so sweet. I could listen to him laugh all day. Tanner is getting more interested in Dallin since he can get him to laugh.

Oh boy was I mad

Tanner took a ball point pen to our leather couch. Isn't it hilarious that even though I was so steaming mad I still paused to take a picture for the blog? Luckily I scrubbed it off quick enough that I got it off. I actually love leather with kids because it wipes up so easily.

All of us

Dallin is looking chubbier, but it is really just all in the cheeks. If you click on the picture to see it larger, you will see how sapphire blue Dallin's eyes are. They are gorgeous.

Scared

I got this funny ring tone that scares Tanner. Here is a quick video. It kind of looks like a horror movie since it is such a dark video.

I have great, talented friends

My friend Tristen, who graduated from the Paul Mitchell Academy, cut my hair this week. I love it. She did an A line in the back, kind of like everyone else is doing these days, but I think it is so cute. You can't see it too well in this picture, I should have used a white background instead of my kitchen.
Then, later today Alicia, my photographer friend, is taking some pictures of my boys. I will post them later.

3 Years Later

Asthma or Peanut Allergy???

I don't know which is worse, but it's very possible Tanner has one of them. Probably the allergy. He was coughing and wheezing really bad last night. After Nate left for the ER with Tanner I remembered he ate a peanut butter cup from my ice cream about and hour before. Oops. He usually doesn't go near the stuff so I haven't had to watch it too closely. You know when he smells or eats PB because he dry heaves or scrapes his tongue like he ate poison. And he did that after he took a bite. At the hospital he got a breathing treatment and a prescription for an anti-inflammatory medicine. The doc said he needs to see a specialist and then get a prescription for an Epi-pen in case of anaphylaxis. Apparently peanut allergies are one of the most serious kinds. Yikes! I hope he outgrows it. The doc told Nate about some cases where PB was the secret ingredient in chili and a guy ate some and died. Then some kid ate something fried in peanut oil and died. Scary!

I know stats aren't interesting to some, but Dallin is now 25 inches long (99th percentile) and is 13 lbs (75th percentile). Big boy!

Not much going on but Twilight

We haven't been up to much, probably because I am reading the Twilight series, not because there isn't anything to do. I read it in just a couple days, not because it is the greatest book, but the author does keep you reading. It is a vampire love story for the few of you who have never heard of it. I would have liked it better as a teenager for sure. Still good though, don't get me wrong. The main character, Bella, gets on my nerves though with her bad attitude and complaining.
