Jogathon

The kids' school does a Jogathon fundraiser every year where the kids run for 30 minutes and get pledges for every lap ran. Amber got 7 laps and Ashlyn ran 13. Each lap is a quarter mile. 

First Day of School and 1 tooth gone for Amber

Amber has lost her first tooth! She should have lost the one right beside it first, that tooth has been coming in for a while now. Hopefully it will eventually come out on its own.  

End of Summer trips

We went to Lake of the Woods with family and friends again this year. We did this last year and it was so fun! We played at the lake and hung out around the camp fire. I hope it continues to be a tradition. 

We also went to visit Matt and Mickie in Washington. We always love hiking with them. It is so beautiful there.

The cousins all performed these skits. It was pretty cute. 

Ashlyn and Pears

In our new house we have a tub with jets, so Ashlyn took a bubble bath. It was a little bit too much apparently. The bubbles just kept coming!

 August is pear picking month. I went with this fun group of ladies on the platform to pick. That was my first time picking on a platform, and I think I prefer it except for the 3 hours shift! That was a long, and it was a 9pm-12am shift. 

 Ashlyn danced all summer with Sydney. It was so cute. They danced to "Friend Like Me."

Poor Dallin!

Dallin woke up with this rash one morning and it stayed for about a week. He took some steroids to make it go away. This is the second time it has happened. He had one just like it last year about the same time. Weird. It went away just in time for school. 

Harris Beach

We went on our annual family camping trip to Harris Beach last month. It was fun as always. It was only a couple days after we moved so it was a little thrown together, but we made it and had fun and I found that it was less stress to just do everything simply and last minute. Who knew!?

 Dallin really wanted to boogie board, but in the end the waves weren't ideal and it was pretty cold, so he tried once and called it good. 

 It's fun to see how the kids enjoy the beach differently as they get older. They used to dig in the sand as little boys, and now they like to build things with drift wood.

These were some Kris took. 

I like this one of me because it reminds me of one of my mom when she was probably my age.
