Lake of the Woods

We went up to Lake of the Woods the week before school started. We went with Jordan and Michaela and saw lots of other friends up there. You can rent a cabin after all the girls camps are finished. We had fun playing in the water, playing horse shoes, volleyball and cards.

Wild Life Safari

Labor day we headed north to go to Wild Life Safari. We took Kris along. It was fun, but not as fun as the first time we went. It hadn't changed much, and we'd been there about 2 years ago.

End of Summer activities

Rylan had a birthday party that we went to. Lots of fun. So good to see Kevin's family. We don't see them enough. They have an awesome back yard.

 Tanner received the aaronic priesthood, and was lucky to have so many of his uncles there for it.

 Mickie catered a wedding and asked Michaela and me to help with it. We had done it before and it was tons of fun, so I was happy to do it again. 

 For Tanner's birthday party we went up to Emigrant Water Slides. We had family it town that weekend too, so it was a big turn out. 

There were a few races down the slides.

 Ashlyn helping me in the kitchen making macarons and showing the huge zucchinis that we missed somehow. Happened a couple times this summer.

Dance

Ashlyn and Amber are both doing dance with Panache. They are loving it, and it is so fun to watch. They have way more confidence than I ever have. So happy for them.

Ashlyn is definitely a gifted soccer player. She is fast and aggressive. She made 10 or so goals at her last game, and didn't sit out once. It is fun to watch.

Harris Beach

 We went to Gold Beach to do go on a jet boat ride, and we stopped at our favorite beach in Brookings. It was a beautiful, barely smokey day. Jordan and Michaela came with us.

 We found these amazing rock sculptures that we added too. Makes kind of a cool backdrop, doesn't it?
