Rogues game

I am not a big baseball fan but Nate and the kids love it. They have gone to a couple of games, and Tanner has always been very lucky to catch fly balls and he caught a t shirt. They always stay after for autographs.

I went to one game, and I ended up putting ear buds in and listening to an audiobook. :) 

Blackberries and Baseball

This video of Amber in the stroller makes me smile. It is so "Amber". The pink converse with a skirt. The swim suit; she always wants to wear a swimsuit. Her legs crossed. The flowers in her hands; she always likes to have something in both hands. And singing a song. She's so fun!

We love black berries. There are a few spots not to far from our house were we go pick them.
Amber looks like she got a sour one.

 

The kids are fans of the Rogues. They play locally and we go to several games each summer. A few players came to the library to meet people and we got to hang out with them for a little bit. They played the Wii with the kids.  

Britt Children's Festival

I was so happy that Nate could come with us this year! I have gone alone the last couple years and 4 kids is a lot to keep track of!

Tanner loved finding "gold" when we went panning. 

We saw lots of friends and neighbors there. Amber decorated a bag with my good friend Bree.

The kids got cotton candy so the last half of the pictures they all have blue mouths.

 Really blue mouths. :) Amber had a blue beard. It was pretty funny. We were too lazy to take her to the bathroom to get it cleaned off.

Dallin LOVES science. He is already talking about doing another volcano experiment at home.

 Nate is in his glasses because he is getting ready to have LASIK! Yikes! We hope he qualifies for it. He has a consultation years ago and they told him he wasn't a good candidate. So, we will see.

Summer outings

I am so ashamed of my horrible phone pictures! But if I didn't use it then I wouldn't document nearly as much. SO, it is OK. 

Anytime I get a check or it is allowance day we head to the credit union where they give free ice cream bars. We try to go to different branches each time, so we don't look like the free loaders we are. :) 

 The public library has fun activities going on during the summer. They had the Wii out so we did some dancing. We were the only ones there! Nice!

At the library they also have movies and popcorn. We watched Balto this week. Actually, the kids watched and I listened to "Edenbrooke" on my phone.

And when we aren't around town, Ashlyn is riding the trike in the house. Usually Amber is on the back. 

Swim Lessons

We did swim lessons last week. All the kids got into a class, and they all learned a lot, and did hard things. Ashlyn was nervous about putting her face under the water, and in the end she actually jumped off of a diving board in the 12 foot pool!

I think she had a little crush on her swim teacher. That got her to do some stuff that she probably wouldn't normally do. :)

Dallin was in a class that was a little too advanced for him, but he learned a lot because of it.

Tanner was in a class with only 3 students and he was a fast learner and you could see he was silently competing with the other two. He was a fast and strong swimmer

Amber was in a class with only 2 students and she was the dream student. She would do whatever was asked and with a smile on her face. I look forward to her doing more lessons when school starts in the fall.

Ashlyn fell in love with these silly goggles. She never even used them in her lessons though.

The first jump off the diving board, Ashlyn needed some help. After that she was excited to take the plunge.

Tanner learned to dive. He was fearless. The kids are already asking to do more. Unfortunately paying for 4 kids to do swim lessons is very spendy. They city offers a couple free sessions throughout the summer. We were lucky enough to get into this one. We will definitely look for more free classes.

Dallin got Baptized

Dallin chose to be baptized yesterday. It was a special day. His grandpa and grandma Spence came, and grandpa gave the talk about baptism. Aunt Kris gave the talk about the Holy Ghost. 

We had brownies and cookies after and visited with all the family that came. He got a new set of scriptures, and he just started in Genesis. He plans to read it strait through. :)

He is such a good boy, and we are so proud of him and his decision.
