Bear Lake

We spent a couple days at the lake. That was probably the kids' favorite part. We got sunburnt the first day so we had to wait a couple to get back out in the sun. The first day Matt and Mickie rented a floating trampoline for the kids to play on. Maybe Nate got pictures of that. I wasn't very good at taking pictures there.

There were all of these shallow warm pools for the kids to play in. They were kind of muddy and cloudy, but they didn't mind.

 Nate's Aunt and Uncle, Stormy and Kevin, came too and they rented a pontoon boat and a tube. The kids LOVED that. But the wave runners were probably the favorite part.

 The weather was perfect while we were there. 80's to 90's.

We had to take advantage of the opportunity of being all together, and take some family pictures. I had my camera out and so did Michaela. These are some of the shots I got.

Boise-Planet Kid

On our way home from Bear Lake we stopped in Boise to get out some energy. Found this indoor play area that the kids enjoyed. 

We stayed in Ontario, OR that night and played in the hotel pool. It was a nice, and necessary way to break up that long drive home.

Tanner Reunion

We have had a really busy week! We were in Bear Lake last week for the Spence Family reunion, and when we got back, we had the Tanner Family reunion. The Tanner reunion was just a day thing, thank goodness. I am still recovering from the Bear Lake trip. I will blog more about that soon.

Here are a bunch of pictures that I took from the Tanner reunion. It was at my Uncle and Aunt's vineyard in Selma. 

There were lots of kids, so they had a craft table set up, and games. The adults mostly visited and watched the kids. The food was good, and so was the company. I saw a cousin that I hadn't seen in 15 years.

Last Day of School

Last school year flew! Here are the boys on the last day of school. I am excited about this summer. We start it with a family reunion in Utah next week. And we will have stuff going on all summer like, summer reading program, a trip to the coast, trips to the park, junior fitness at the YMCA, baseball, and lots of play dates I am sure.

I couldn't find the picture of their first day of school, so this is their last day of school last year.

Library and the pool

 One of our weekly outings is to the library. There is a little place outside with a boat that they can play on. I don't know what I will do when I only have Amber. :( Maybe I will have to steal her cousin Whitney often so she has someone to play with. 

 It is time for the pool again! We had to get a new one this year. Even Tanner enjoys it, surprisingly. 

Memorial Day Hike

We wanted to get outside and enjoy the beautiful spring weather, so we went out to Lithia Park for a little hike in the morning and play time on the park. The kids preferred the hike, I think, which isn't usually the case.

And yes, Dallin has huge, PINK shoelaces. What do you do? I hate to micromanage this part of their lives. I already do that enough in other parts of their lives. ha ha.

Saber school and a hair cut, but not at the same time. :)

 We spent an afternoon at Kid Time this week. There are some new fun classes the kids really like. Lego class, music and movement, juggling, and even light saber training. 

The guy that did them was young and energetic. The kids were asking when they get to go back as soon as we left. I guess we will spend a good portion of our summer there. 

I have been growing my bangs out for the last couple years, and they finally got long enough that I could cut the rest of my hair up to them and have a nice even cut. 

Here it is strait and curled, but I actually prefer it just air dried with my natural waves. 

Oh yea, and there was a soccer party too. It was a good season, but I am happy to have our Saturdays back. 

Memorial Day

Let me explain the onion. My grandpa was a funny man. He loved to sing and play his guitar. He knew lots of old silly songs. One of them said this:

Now that she has gone to rest I’ll fulfill her last request

I’ll plant a bunch of onions on her grave

So that when I’m passing by I can pucker up and cry 

Cause the dog-gone things just simply make me rave.

I believe my sisters put the onion on his grave this year. 

Here is a picture of us with him about a month before he passed. He remains one of my favorite people of all time. Miss him.
