She had a couple friends over on her birthday for crafts, games, and ice-cream sundaes. It was a costume party and her girl friends all came as princesses.

They popped the balloons to get treats. And threw a ball and cans.
Her favorite part. I almost think it is better not to open presents at parties. Ashlyn became antisocial once she had a bunch of new toys to play with.
This cute little sweater has been passed around the family for the girls in the family to wear in a pictures. It belongs to their great grandma, Bobbie.
Matt and Mickie came to town so we got pictures of the youngest 3 so we can pass it on to another cousin.
I got my hair cut! Took a lot of nerve, but I did it, and I love having short hair, mostly. I do miss ponytails when I work out.
I got glasses. This is one pair, I got another pair I like better. zennioptical.com is great! They have super cheap glasses. Each pair was about $30, lenses and all.
We have discovered that swings make Amber sick. This is the second time she threw up after being on a swing.
It is soccer season again! Nate is coaching Dallin's team, and Tanner moved up to U10 where there is a goalie now. He played goalie and loved it.
The kids helped me plant tulip bulbs. I finally got around to doing it, after wanting to for 3 years!
Matt and Mickie visited last week. I did their family pictures and we celebrated Emma's birthday. We played mini golf. It is always fun to see them. We are hoping they get to move back someday.
We are just missing Jordan and Michaela's kids, and we would have all the Spence cousins together. We are looking forward to a reunion with them next summer.
Ashlyn got her ears pierced! She was so brave. She was so excited she didn't even notice the pain. She cleans them all by herself.
Me and the girls went on a hayride at a farm this weekend. We love this time of year.
Tanner learned to braid. He actually learned on one of Ashlyn's barbies but I didn't think he would appreciate a pictures like that floating around. :)
My mom made Amber this blanket, and she has recently taken a liking to it.

Ashlyn doing the money bars during soccer practice, and Amber after she peed her pants. She is potty training. I am finding it takes longer when you start them younger. Tanner potty trained at 3 years old and it was quick.
It was a Lego morning.
Tanner got these balloons for his birthday and was having a hard time making balloon animals, so he started creating his own things.
This year Tanner and Joel wanted a joint birthday party. They have a lot of common friends from church and soccer, so it worked out really well. We were hoping to do a pool party, but it didn't work out this year. Instead we went to the Family Fun Center for some arcade games, and we also did a few minute to win it games in the party room.
I forgot to post about Jr Giants this summer. This was Tanner's 4th, and Dallin's 3rd time doing Jr Giants. We look forward to it every summer. Nate coached both boys this year, plus their cousin Joel.
The girls are good cheer leaders. Next summer Ashlyn should be able to play, if she wants. Not sure if she will. She is really into gymnastics.
Baseball seems to be one of Tanner's favorite sports. He is good at it. Runs fast, hits hard.

This is exactly the reason we moved to Medford. Cousins. Well, one of several reasons, but it is important to me to have the kids close to family. I was close with my cousins too.
