It is soccer season again!

Tanner and Dallin are both playing again this season. Different teams. Could have been on the same team but they didn't want to be.  Nate is coaching Dallin and Tanner is on a team he has been with for a few seasons now. 

 Tanner is getting so much better. He used to shy away from the ball, but now he is much more aggressive. 

 Dallin has surprised me too. His endurance has improved so much. He used to get tired so quickly but he will run after that ball the whole game. He is really driven to win! I don't like the competitiveness of sports myself, but my boys thrive on it!

Hawaii-10 year Anniversary trip

We finally got a honeymoon! 10 years later. We went to Oahu for 5 days. It was really strange not having kids. I almost didn't know what to do with myself. I packed our days full of stuff though, so we kept busy most of the time. And we actually never just went to relax on the beach. Weird, I know. 

We did hike Diamond Head; a big crater where a volcano exploded a long time ago. 

Walked along the beach of Waikiki. 

 You can walk for a couple of miles along the beach. 

 Love a Hawaiian sunset. There were fireworks there one night. 

We went to see the USS Arizona Memorial. 

 Took A LOT of selfies. 

 Visited the Dole Plantation. Just to try their famous pineapple ice-cream. Pretty tasty stuff. 

Was strange to go back to Laie 15 years later. 15 years! Not long ago I felt like I could still sort of blend in with the college kids. Not anymore. :( Everyone looked so young. 

 Hukilau beach. I used to go here all the time. Lived right across the street. 

 Found my favorite flower. Plumeria. Couldn't stop smelling it. 

Went to Laie Point. I used to run up to the Point a lot, back in the day.

 PCC was the highlight of the trip for me. Love this place. Worked there as a photographer for a couple of years. Have many memories there. It was fun to share Hawaii with Nate.

 Doing a Tahitian dance. And watching the tree climber. Saw some familiar faces at the PCC. 

 We snorkeled at Hanama Bay

 Nate getting use to the water. We saw some humuhumunukunukuapuaa, the state fish. 

We got cold after about 45 minutes so we got out, and never got back in. :( We forgot towels. 

We hiked up Koko Head. It is an old railroad track. I can't believe a train could go up that! Hardest hike ever. 

Had a shave ice about as big as my head with ice cream on the bottom and haupia on top. So yummy! The food was one of my favorite parts of the trip. We ate out most meals, and it was amazing. Kalua pork, taro, the best eggs benedict I've ever had, banana pancakes, guava pancakes, chicken katsu, bbq chicken, malasadas, spam musubi, fresh tropical fruit...my mouth is watering as I write. We walked a ton and hiked a couple of times, so I don't think too much damage was done, but maybe. I refuse to weigh myself, so I guess I will never know. Probably better that way.

Easter

We celebrated Easter watching General Conference and then going to my Brother's house. My parents planned a camping trip that weekend without realizing what day it was, so we missed them.

Ashlyn wanted to put the sprinkler under the trampoline. It is only April, but whatever.

Amber has this expression that is too funny, it is when she is concerned.

 Ashlyn is growing out her bangs, and they are not quite long enough to put behind her ears yet.  So annoying.
